The Samsung S9 vs iPhone x
The Samsung S9 vs iPhone X
The Samsung S9 vs Iphone x: Of course, the Samsung S9 won’t be available for retail until March 16th.
But for Android fans, the long-awaited arrival of the Samsung Galaxy S9 has finally dawned. And users will not be disappointed with the upgrades and tech that this impressive smartphone offers.
The first thing we like about it is the price. While the iPhone X still retails at an eye-watering £999, the S9 comes in at a gentler, and almost bargainous £739. Even the Samsung S9+ is a snip at £869 – so you could still upgrade and feel smug about it.
But while price is an important factor, it’s the tech that really holds user loyalty. And here is where it gets confusing. Because the iPhone X and Samsung S9 share many of the same features – and the main difference you’ll encounter is the operating system. So, if you are in the market for a new phone, the first question to ask is whether you prefer iOS or Android.
Samsung S9 and iPhone X Cameras
Another big selling point on all new smartphones is the camera quality and ability. The Samsung Galaxy S9 sports a 12 megapixel rear camera and an eight megapixel front camera for superb digital images. Both cameras offer great low-light performance options, so you can literally snap fantastic images anywhere.
There is new camera software too. The Galaxy S9 can take 12 images at once so that you get an incredible final shot. And, there is the slo-mo record option, which records an incredible 960 frames per second for the ultimate smooth footage.
Samsung S9 and iPhone Screens
The iPhone X has come under fire for the ‘not very popular’ notch design that houses the front facing camera. This has resulted in the model not being popular with Asian markets, and could be part of the reason whey the iPhone X is being discontinued this year. Meanwhile though,
The S9 offers a 5.8inch screen while the S9+ gives you a mega 6.2 inch display. Samsung have always led the way when it comes to stunning displays and slim handsets. With the exception of the Galaxy Edge, which really was a very silly idea (totally financially unviable to repair) the S9 looks set to continue this tradition.
Samsung S9 vs iPhone X Technical fringe benefits
Fantastic audio is available. Of course, Samsung has gained user brownie points by maintaining a headphone jack, and to add to the auditory experience, Samsung worked with AKG to perfect the sound balance. So, you will experience crisp and stunning audio.
Design your own emojis according to your own facial expressions. Those who haven’t yet upgraded to this level of tech are in for a serious treat. You can 3D scan your face to create the ultimate expressive and personalised emojis. You will seriously wonder how you ever lived without this feature, even though it may not seem important right now.
Babel fish translating software, we think, is utterly awesome. Called Bixby Vision, the Samsung S9 allows you to point your phone at foreign language text – and it translates it directly into English. This is perfect for menus, signposts and instructions etc. Although the grammar is still not perfect as it’s a direct translation, it’s still and amazing tool.
